Unheralded Jack Elliott a pleasant surprise for the Union

Out of nowhere rookie center back Jack Elliott has begun to earn himself valuable minutes for the Union. A native of London, the four-year starter at the University of West Virginia was an unheralded fourth-round draft choice, the No. 77 overall selection.

“To be honest, he has been above and beyond what we had anticipated,” Union coach Jim Curtin said.
