The 2017 MLS season is just more than halfway finished. The playoff picture is starting to become a little more clearer, and teams are preparing for the final push of the season. And with the season more than halfway over, discussions of end of year awards are starting to take shape.
For Rookie of the Year, one name that seems to find its way to the center of the conversation is Jack Elliott. And it’s for good reason.
Elliott has appeared in 14 games for the Union, his first MLS appearance coming into the second half of the Union’s match against DC United. He got his first start of his MLS two weeks later against NYCFC, and he hasn’t left the starting XI since.
